TOMORROW COMICS: CRIMINAL & ASTRONAUT DAD
I have not read any of the Criminal books, but I've heard good things about them, and the storyline collected in this trade seems like a good one.
Pretty neat, huh?! How they managed to fit so much drama/character/development into one little page, I'll never know.
Also hitting stands tomorrow is Astronaut Dad in which I'm friends with both the the writer and the artist, how cool am I?
Give them a look see at the comic shop.

Criminal is a great book from a creative team who are perfectly in sync. This second volume moves a little slower than the first, but there's a reason why this book wins awards. If you can talk yourself into buying the single issues instead of the trades, there's all sorts of cool crime-centric backmatter that gets stripped for the collection. (And if you like Criminal, I highly recommend the four volumes of Brubaker and Phillips's Sleeper from Wildstorm.)
Also -- You can get all that wondrous stuff on the page because the artist didn't choke when the writer asked for eight panels. (Here's where I'd put a winking smiley face emoticon.)
