I too am totally stoked about this... I believe Genndy T. ((That's what I call him)) will maintain the integrity of the original, while addin' his flair for the cinematic to it... I'm all a twitter about it...

As a huge fan of the first movie, I have to wonder if it will live up. Will they do it all physical, or throw in some CGI?
From what I heard, the characters are still going to be puppets, but the backgrounds will be CGI and there's a flame girl character that's going to be CGI also, because puppet flames are just too hokey, I guess.
I'm ok with CGI backgrounds as long as they still have the painterly feel of the original. I'm going in with a VERY open mind because I just want this to blow me away so badly...
