Favorite Word
So I've been watching a LOT of Bravo lately (it helps being poor and not being able to afford cable) ... I'm freaking HOOKED on their reality competition shows. Except Project Runway. I just don't care enough about fashion to be interested. But it started with Top Chef, because I'm a freak about cooking shows, and I used to love me some Iron Chef, so I started watching it.
Loved it.
Then I started watching Top Design... which was OK, but not all that great, but I couldn't stop watching it! And now I'm watching the piece of crap train wreck that is Shear Genius, which Laura could TOTALLY win, she needs to try out for next season, but I like Ben (he's rad) and I'm hoping he wins.
I even started watching this show called Workout, which is half cool because it's about this woman that runs a pretentious gym in Hollywood, but it's got too much drama attached to it for me. That didn't stop me from watching it, but I didn't enjoy most of it.
Anyway, I do have a point to this entry and why the post is called "favorite word". I also REALLY love Inside the Actors Studio, because the Lipton guy is so deadpan and his questions are so awesome. He's also obsessed with tattoos, which I find cool and weird at the same time because he always says that because of some secret reason that he will never divulge he cannot have any.
ANYWAY, he ALWAYS asks his guests what their favorite word is, as well as their least favorite word plus a myriad of other random nonsense questions.
SO. I am going to post MY favorite word and my least favorite word and I want to know ALL of YOUR favorite and least favorite words!
Ok. My favorite word is:
PUMPKIN
I just love it. I love the way it sounds and I love what it makes me think of when I say it. Halloween, pie, orange, cool whip, kittens, little kids... all that stuff.
My LEAST favorite word is:
CLOT
Yes, like blood clot. It's just gross, and makes me want to YAK when I hear it. This morning they had the Drew Barrymore one on and her least favorite word was "moist", which I find to ALSO be borderline offensive, so I will say "moist" is a damn close second.
Ok, so everyone put your thinking caps on and give me your two words!
Loved it.

Least favorite - "Sorry" It encompasses so much, weakness, faults, guilt, and usually is only said when people say what they think the other person wants to hear.
Current favorite - "Bear" Because it makes me think of my baby boy.(who is actually no longer a baby)

Okay, my turn.
Favorite word: amalgam, just because of a certain comic cross-over series that led to me understanding how many comic readers flunked high-school English.
least favorite: irony, because people misuse it every single day
and don't forget favorite cuss word, that's MY favorite part of that show.
Of course, mine is fuck, in any capacity.

Old favorite word: Kitten, my wife says it in an absolutely charming and adorable way.
New favorite word: Pumpkin Clot
Least favorite word: plop, as in "I am just gonna go "plop" my ass down here and see if I can get this Pumpkin Clot started".
Word.

Aww Ryan, I like your favorite word. Bear makes me think of warm fuzzy things. :D
Lori you are SUCH a nerd!
And I like "bitch" as my favorite cuss word. Fuck is a bit too outrageous for it to be my favorite, though that doesn't keep me from using it in some fashion every day.
Thanks for ruining my favorite word, John! :D
Plop is pretty good. It makes me think of cow pies for some reason.
