It's Finally Here: The Sweeney Todd Review!
Well, not really a review, because I don't really do those. But I FINALLY got to see Sweeney Todd last night!
And, as I hoped it would be, it was awesome.
Johnny Depp did a spectacular job as Benjamin Barker aka Sweeney Todd. I really don't like Helena Bonham Carter all that much, and while I think Angela Lansbury is THE best Mrs. Lovett, I thought Helena did a great job as well. Also, for such a small part, Sacha Baron Cohen did a bang up job as Pirelli.
The only problem I (and everyone with me who saw it) had, was not due to the movie itself, but the sound in the theatre was HORRIBLE. Honestly, if I didn't already know the story and songs, half of the movie would have been lost on me because I couldn't understand what some of the actors were singing. Totally lame.
So I loved it, and hopefully everyone who sees it will feel the same.

I really enjoyed it, and can't wait to get it on DVD.
